45-day government expo in Nagercoil from today

A government exhibition will be inaugurated at “Anathai Madam” ground near S.T. Hindu College here on Saturday, according to Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan.

Minister for Information and Special Programmes Implementation K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji will inaugurate the expo in the presence of J. Kumarakurubaran, Director, Information and Public Relations, and K. Thanappa, Joint Director (Exhibitions).

The exhibition with over 30 government stalls put up by various departments and 17 private stalls with amusement facilities would be open to the public for 45 days.

Special buses

The exhibition will be open from 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. and special buses operated from various destinations to the venue.

Cultural programmes with social themes and various competitions will be held in the evenings.

The entry fee for adults was fixed at Rs.15 and for children Rs.10, the Collector added.
