The Malavalli Town police have arrested a gang of four, who murdered a Chennai-based cab driver here to steal his car, on Monday evening. They have been identified as Kirankumar of Indivalu near Mandya, Arunkumar, Ganesh and Mansur of Malavalli.
According to a police officer, the gang had hired the cab in Chennai, murdered the driver and dumped his body in Shimsha River near Thorekadana Halli. The police found the car and lethal weapons with the accused.
“We have recovered the skull and bones of the driver. We will send a team to Chennai to trace the victim’s identity,” the officer said.
