336 applications received at passport camp

Applications from 336 persons were received at the special passport camp organised here on March 14 and 15. S.Lingasamy, Regional Passport Officer, Tiruchi, inaugurated the camp. Darez Ahamed, District Collector, and Ms.Sonal Chandra, Superintendent of Police, were present. Officials of Tiruchi Passport Office verified the certificates, and biometric details and photographs of the applicants were taken. New applicants filed their application on the websitewww.passportindia.gov.inand took the copy of their Application Reference Number, which contains the registration details, at the camp. Applications for new passports and renewals were also received. For those who had applied for renewal, passports would be given in a week, while for others it would be given after police verification.
