29 college girls hurt in accident

A mini-bus carrying college students from Tiruchi rammed a stationary tempo, injuring 29 girls along Krishnagiri - Dharmapuri highway near Mottur on Friday. The students escaped with minor injuries. According to the police, the bus was on a college tour from Tiruchi to Bengaluru, carrying students from a private girls college.

On Friday, a tempo laden with reapers had developed a repair and was stranded along the highway in Mottur. The bus is suspected to have lost control and rammed the stationary vehicle. The students, however, suffered minor injuries. The accident derailed traffic briefly along the highway.
