2 men held, murder mystery solved

The two arrested in connection with the crime, worked in the same showroom

City Police claim to have solved the mystery shrouding the murder of a watchman of a car showroom in September 2014, by effecting the arrest of two persons on Saturday.

K. Periasamy (58), watchman, was murdered, and a sum of Rs. 9 lakh was taken away from the showroom.

Special police parties were formed to nab the accused and investigations were carried out.

Following inquiries, police arrested two youths – K. Dharmalingam (19), and D. Manikandan (20) – both of whom were employed in the same showroom.

The police recovered Rs. 60,000 cash and costly mobile phones and jewellery from the two. They were remanded in judicial custody.
