The Southern Railway has cancelled, diverted and rescheduled some trains in view of the heavy rain and breaches in Wadi- Manthralayam Road and Kurnool Town-Secunderabad section of South Central Railway and near Karwar of Konkan Railway.

The 6345 Lokmanya Tilak-Thiruvananthapuram Netravathi Express, scheduled to arrive Thiruvananthapuram Central at 6.40 p.m on Saturday has been cancelled, according to railways.

Consequently, the 6346 Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak Netravathi Express, scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10.00 hrs on October 4, had been cancelled.

The 6381 Mumbai CST- Kanyakumari Express, scheduled to arrive Kanyakumari on Saturday at 12.15 noon, has been diverted via Wadi, Secunderabad, Kazipet Junction, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta and Tirupati. According to railways, the train is expected to arrive Kanyakumari at 1 p.m. on October 4.

The 2617 Eranakulam-Nizamuddin Express, which had left Ernakulam at 1 p.m. on October 2, has been diverted via Shornur, Palakkad, Erode, Jolarpaettai, Katpadi, Tirupati, Renigunta, Gudur, Vijayawada, Warangal and Balharsha.

The 2287 Kochuveli-Dehradun Express, that had left Kochuveli at 8.50 a.m. on October 2, has also been diverted via Shoranur, Palakkad, Erode, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Tirupati, Renigunta, Gudur, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharsha and Nizamabad.


The 6382 Kanyakumari-Mumbai CST Express, scheduled to leave Kanyakumari at 5.30 a.m. on October 4, has been rescheduled and will leave Kanyakumari on the same day at 10 a.m.
