The Pakistan government on Wednesday raised concerns over the detention of truck driver Muhammad Shafi, on the Chakothi-Uri Crossing Point on January 17.
It said the detention was in violation of the agreed modalities and the spirit of Line of Control (LoC) trade and sought his immediate release.
Pakistan High Commission officials in Delhi said the Indian government was also asked to immediately take steps to resolve the matter to enable early resumption of cross LoC trade and bus service.
