Parliament stands still

December 08, 2010 01:52 am | Updated November 17, 2021 03:26 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Notwithstanding pulls and tugs, the functioning of Parliament remained hit for the 18th day over the demand for a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe into the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

With just four working days left for the winter session to conclude, the government, however, went through with its bare necessary financial and legislative business in both the Houses amidst the din created by the Opposition.

Unioon Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee tabled the mid-year review of the economy, while the Protection of Women Against Sexual Harassment at Workplace Bill, 2010, was introduced in the Lok Sabha.
