One person, suspected to be a Naxal, was killed as Maoists triggered a blast at Boulia in Bihar’s Rohtas district early today, police said.
Over 75 ultras gathered at the spot and triggered a landmine blast at a culvert in which one person, suspected to be an ultra, was killed, they said.
The blast was triggered apparently to create panic in the area to enforce the poll boycott call given by the Maoists, the police said.
The blast site is under Chenari Assembly constituency where the sixth and final phase of Assembly elections will be held on November 20.
CRPF personnel are combing the nearby jungle to look for the Maoists, police said.
