A day after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) charge-sheeted 10 alleged terrorists of banned outfit Hizbul Mujahideen led by Syed Salahuddin for allegedly funding terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir, the agency approached a city court seeking issuance of letters rogatory to Pakistan seeking the arrest of eight fugitives, including the Hizbul head.
Salahuddin had taken refuge in Pakistan in1989. During investigations, two accused named Mohd. Shafi Shah and Talib Lali were arrested and the remaining eight who are based in Pakistan have been declared proclaimed offenders.
