With Manmohan Singh having shifted to his new residence, the new Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to move into 7, Race Course Road in a couple of days.

After the election results were out and the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, Mr. Modi shifted to Gujarat Bhavan here, from where he has been operating since then. He has held a series of meetings with senior party leaders and government functionaries and is now running the government from the same premises.

A day after he was sworn in, Mr. Modi called on his predecessor, Dr. Singh, on Tuesday afternoon at his new residence, 3, Motilal Nehru Place.
