Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on Friday held discussions with top party leaders on formation of the new government. Mr. Modi held a meeting with senior leaders Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari at the Gujarat Bhawan.

Party sources said the discussions were centred on the possible composition of the Union Council of Ministers. In all likelihood, Mr. Modi will have a small ministerial team of 15 to 20 members, who will take oath of office along with him on Monday, sources indicated.

Once again, the hub of hectic political activity and discussions in the Capital was the Gujarat Bhawan, close to the Prime Minister’s official residence at 7 Race Course Road. Mr. Modi’s staff, who also moved to the Gujarat Bhawan on Thursday, will shift to the Race Course Road along with the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal chief and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal met Mr. Rajnath Singh.
