A court here on Saturday ordered the Delhi Police to register an FIR to probe a complaint that two trusts run by Team Anna member and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi were involved in “siphoning off money” from a computer training scheme meant for children and families of para-military and police personnel.
Advocate Devinder Singh Chauhan's complaint said the two trusts received donations for providing free computer training, besides distributing computers free to poor children. But “Ms. Bedi, in collusion with some unknown persons, cheated the Vedanta Foundation and made a plan to cheat the kids of cops and various paramilitary forces and for the purpose, she planned to collect Rs.20,000 per month per training centre.” For “siphoning off money to herself,” Ms. Bedi entered into a donation agreement with Vedanta, by which Rs.6,000 out of the total money of Rs.20,000 was to be paid by Vedanta to her trusts (India Vision Foundation and Navjyoti Foundation), on the false ground that she had arranged for land and electricity for the training centre, the complaint said.
Mr. Chauhan said the land and electricity were arranged by the police organisation, and not by Ms. Bedi. “Neither Ms. Bedi nor any of her associates disclosed the fact to Vedanta that they are illegally charging Rs.6,000 for each centre for the expenses [of] rent of the building and charges of electricity.”
Another allegation is that Ms. Bedi got permission for setting up four community centres on a “misleading undertaking that she will not charge any fee from students” for courses. But “contrary to the undertaking she is charging Rs.15,000 per student…”.
Mr. Chauhan demanded an Enforcement Directorate probe into receipt of donations by the two trusts from abroad. Two controversies that emerged earlier — donations to India Against Corruption being diverted to the Public Cause Research Foundation, and Ms. Bedi inflating air fare bills — also find mention in the complaint.

Govt.may use any tacts to estronished the image of Anna Brigde but Public know who is right & who is wrong.If Govt. is so interested it should investigate all the Ministers along with their family members in the way they are invetigating Anna Brigde,if not all majority of them will be in jail.If you don`t have the courage to do so stop doing these petty things & indulge yourself to pass the JAN LOKPAL BILL in this session but it is evident from your actions you will not do otherwise how you save your Ministers from Jail.The people in Govt.cried so much on one slap but how the public answer hundreds of slaps Govt.is slaping on public face i.e.slap of corruption,price-rise,harrasement etc.These slaps are countless.Awake now or ready for the consequencies.

The way India is, and the way Indian Society is, the corrupt psyche of this Country that rules and eats away the vitals of this country, believes that people can be fooled to the extent of calling the very person who wants a strong, fool proof, deterent ombudsman against corruption as corrupt.
Kiran Bedi may not be personally corrupt. But if she is unable to properly explain the conduct of organisations run by her, how can we expect her to investigate corruption charges against the Prime Minister of India. And if a highly educated like her cant prevent corruption in her own back yard, how can our dada Anna wage a war. Is quite pathetic that even the media dont understand that “intentions” hardly matter in fight against corruption. People, intelligence and money is required. If Anna Hazare cant give proper justification against charges against his own core team, how can he investigate complex corruptions charges. Who will decide what has to be investigated and who will bear the cost. Where will we get intelligent and uncorrupt people to spend time on such investigations. Please understand that it is we who are corrupt - not people from Mars or Pakistan or some remote island with corrupt people. Anna Hazare way will never workout.
People who portray themselves as crusaders against corruption should be first prove their credibility. Kiran Bedi should stop whimpering like a kid and face the challenges legally and prove her innocence first. Why did Kejriwal pay lakhs of rupees to Indian Gov if he really is innocent? Why he didnt he challenge the government in a court of law if he really is innocent and did not cheat the Government?
So, this is what it comes down to when you want to fight the system. Disgusting, that the entire civil society is silent on this nitpicking on a individual, and for what, Rs.6000, Rs.15000. She is fighting to bring culprits who have bungled Rs.6000 cr and Rs.15000 cr. The solutions she is backing may not be agreeable to all, but least you any civilian can do is say this is wrong. Faking higher class tickets so as to attend more seminars, seriously. Thats the big cheating she is doing :). Anybody would be a fool if they do not do it.
With this new episode, questions are bound to be raised on the credibility of anti-corruption crusaders in team anna. As a former senior IPS officer, it will be prudent on her part to take recourse to legal mechanisms rather than portraying herself as a Robin Hood or a victim. Corruption should not be ignored or differentiated just because people involved are seen as role models.

It is very unfortunate that one who was felicitated for her integrity, sincerity and hard work in the police dept and awarded with many coveted prizes is now facing charges of embezzlement and siphoning of money from trust. Ms Kiran Bedi has to prove herself of her integrity that too as a member in Anna Hazzxare campaign against corruption. Her fame should not fade.
Do what ever you wanna do. Present whatever dirty picture you wanna present but come on please let a sincere person do her job. Let her try if she can do something for throwing this corruption out of or country. She can do anything of her own. If we wanna give a corruption free india to our kids then join any movement but be independent of this corruption.get a stronger law against corruption after that u can trap other hundrads of kiran bedi's.i personally feel she is not a corrupt person by nature like we have millions in every govt office.from peon to clerk and clerk to officer.
f i r should be registered on behave of companies who financed,not from corrupt laywer communities who are notorious for fudging witnesses and proofs,if Kiran Bedi is proved innocent, court should compensate her 200 crores. Whole indian justice is drama where billion dollars scamstar occuping vip post and those raising their opposition are lebelled corrupt. Why not bring stronger lokpal and investigate and punish her ,if she find guilty instead of harassing for years and demotivate her and like others who are taking on most inefficient,corrupt govt.
It is indeed shocking that a court has ordered registration of an FIR against Ms.Bedi on the basis of an advocate's complaint about cheating.Prima facie it is inconceivable that a person of her stature and standing would stoop to such low levels.Secondly,one would presume that she is astute and smart enough not to have covered and secured herself and her trusts legally,technically and in every other way,if indeed she were to indulge in such nefarious activities,not to leave herself open to such charges.It is therefore obvious that the complaint,which appears to be frivolous,has been filed more as an irritant and wasting everyones time.If so,then it becomes incumbent on the court to levy such a hefty fine on the complainant that in future such litigants will think twice before resorting to courts for settling personal differences apart from allowing her to file a suit for damages separately.If however the charges are proven then she needs to be punished severely and without mercy.

In the US Wall Street donates to NYPD welfare = NYPD brutalise peaceful protesters. In India Vedanta donates computer lessons to cop kids = Cops brutalise indigenous populace protesting loss of ancient homeland, culture, dignity, livelihood and community due to Vedanta's egregious land grab and exploitation. Ms Bedi seeks opportunity to make a fast buck.

One could not understand how such things are happening with these reputed individuals and the truth must be elicited. These are the reflections of drooping moral values prevalent in Indian society. I am convinced that the real Bharat's Ratna is still the 'Aam Admi' whether he is a Farm Labour, Small Farmer, An industrial worker or street sweeper or any individual who earns his bread thro' toil and try to help others. Simple living and high thinking is the need of the hour. It is imperative that the pillars of democracy should perform better and better so that life is peaceful in democracy.
It is a case of vendetta and shut-up attitude of the beleaguerd Govt. A person who never took bribe while in service why would become corrupt after retirement? India's democratic dictators who think that they can crush the anti corruption movement by implicating its leaders are mistaken. God knows how many manhours India's intellegance agencies have spent to dig out something against Kejriwal,Anna, Bhushans. It is a pity that ruling party think that they can misuse the Govt machinery fabricate cases against its opponents.No wonder we are unable to pre-empt any terror attack and once happened, investigations into the terror attack lead nowhere as the agencies are being used by ruling party to play the dirty games. I reiterate my support for Anna team.
Kiran Bedi got donation of Rs. 50 lakhs from Microsoft based on the undertaking that she would not charge any fee from the students; however she has been charging Rs. 15000 per month from the students. Kiran Bedi would defend by saying that since the money is going to her NGO, and no personal gain. So, It's not a case of corruption.
