A 52-year-old woman and her son were electrocuted here on Sunday morning. The Vaikom police identified the dead as Radha, wife of Mohanan of Mundackel House, Ithipuzha, on the Vaikom-Ernakulam route, and her son Subin, 23.
Radha had come out of the house in the morning and accidentally touched the power line that had snapped and fallen on the ground. She cried out and Subin rushed out of the house to help her. Subin died while trying to save her. Their bodies were handed over to relatives, the police said.
