Woman killed in LPG cylinder blast

Police have not ruled out possibility of suicide

A 42-year-old woman was burnt alive when an LPG cylinder exploded near Balaramapuram on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Deepa, who hailed from Vazhimukku. The incident took place at her house by around 2 p.m.

“Following separation from her husband, she has been residing with her father in their house. The incident took place when she was alone at home,” an official said. The police have not ruled out the possibility of a suicide. They believe the victim has been suffering from mental illness.
