KANNUR : A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her husband in their house at Thottada here under the Edakkad police station limits, on Sunday.
Head injuries
The deceased has been identified as Reshma (29). The police said that she suffered fatal head injuries when she was beaten by her husband, identified as Manoj Kumar (37) alias Manu, with an iron rod at their house at Samajwadi Colony at Thottada. The police said the incident took place at 7 a.m.
The police quoting neighbours said that the incident followed a quarrel between the two.
The woman had two children in her earlier marriage, the police said.
Manoj Kumar was arrested by the police.
