Vellappally trying to destroy Sree Narayana dharma: Achuthanandan

May 03, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan and his associates have taken a diabolical stand to sell the Sree Narayana philosophy (dharma), veteran Communist leader and Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan has alleged.

Mr. Achuthanandan was addressing an election rally of the Left Democratic Front nominee for Aranmula seat, Veena George, at Elavumthitta, near Aranmula, on Sunday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stand was humiliating to the Sree Narayana dharma and Mr. Natesan was trying to destroy the SNDP Yogam tradition by joining hands with the BJP, Mr. Achuthanandan alleged. This should not be permitted at any cost, he said.

Muloor’s tradition

Mr. Achuthanandan further called upon the people of Elavumthitta to uphold the tradition of noted satirist and Malayalam poet Muloor S. Padmanabha Panicker, who firmly stood by the Sree Narayana philosophy and had even introduced the same at the Sree Moolam Praja Sabha.

‘UDF-BJP ties’

He said Congress leader A.K. Antony, who spoke loud on the next Assembly sans BJP, should show the courage and capacity to oppose the alleged Congress-BJP unholy alliance in various Assembly segments across the State.
