The UDF has accused G.Sudhakaran, LDF candidate in Ambalappuzha, of violation of polling rules.
Mr.Sudhakaran entered the polling booth along with Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan, when the latter entered the booth for casting his vote at Paravur Government HSS in Ambalappuzha on Monday afternoon. Mr.Sudhakaran reportedly told Mr.Achuthanandan to select a particular serial number representing the former in the ballot.
DCC president A.A. Shukkoor told The Hindu that visual evidence had been submitted to the electoral authority in support of the charge.
The district electoral officer has sought a report on the incident.
