A tourist from Tamil Nadu, who was part of a group visiting Wayanad, drowned in the Thollayiramkandy river near Meppadi on December 29.
The Meppadi police identified the victim as Bhoopalan, 28, from Narayanapuram, Chennai.
Bhoopalan had reached a private resort at Thollayiramkandy on December 27 along with his family and friends. He was bathing in the river when the tragedy occurred.
