Two persons were killed when the motor bike on which they were travelling lost control and crashed into the compound wall of a mosque.
The accident occurred at 11.45 p.m. on Thursday at the Kallumthazham stretch of the National Highway 208. Those killed were identified by the police as Prasanth 24 and Vinod 27. Vinod who was riding the bike was declared dead-on-arrival at the District Hospital soon after the accident. Prasanth was admitted to a private hospital and succumbed to his injuries at 4 a.m. on Friday. Both bodies were handed over to relatives after the post mortem examinations at the District Hospital.
Meanwhile, in yet another accident of a vehicle losing control and crashing into a compound wall at Chadayamangalam at 4 a.m. on Friday, a 42 year old man was killed. He was identified as Mahesh, native of Kadambanad in Pathanamthitta district. The car in which he was traveling lost control and crashed into the compound wall of the KSRTC Chadayamangalam depot on the Main Central Road.
Biju who was driving the car has been admitted to a private medical college at Venjarumoodu in Thiruvananthapuram district. The two were returning to Kadambanad from Thiruvananthapuram.
