Union Minister of State for Food and Public Distribution, K.V. Thomas said that State Government has been taking strong action in the incident of two guards in the Italian merchant ship who killed two Indian fishermen off Kerala coast recently.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Mr. Thomas said that the Centre was fully supporting the State Government in this regard. He however denied that he had talked to newly-appointed Cardinal, Mar George Alancherry, who is now in Vatican. The Cardinal had told the Catholic news agency, Fides in Rome that he had talked to Catholic Ministers of Kerala urging the Government not to act precipitately on the issue.
Some reports have quoted Cardinal mentioning Mr. Thomas’ name as a mediator with the former's talks with the State Government.

This kind of people unfortunately, in order to appear loyal to their foriegn masters don't worry a minute before compromising on Indian Interests. I have seen many even after staying their whole lives in India know more about Jerusalem then they do about Indian culture and mythology. knowing Indian mythology has nothing to do with being an Hindu or not. Don't the Greek christians not know of Zeus and the Gods of Olympus or have the Italians forgotton Jupiter (the same as Zeus btw) and the demigods of ancient Rome. It is only in India that some people exhibit shortshightedness. For inspiration Check our our past President Kalam, few people know the Vedas as well as he does. The whole nation loves him.
Am wondering how an Italian news agency knows about Kerala local
election and minister KV Thomas without telling this info to them. It
was sure that this guy has mediated and given his remarks against
fishermen on this issue which is anti-national and shows the real
christian church color.
Some questions to ponder
1) Why was the Italians were only remanded, not arrested
2) The Italian killers were not even handcuffed and is housed in a posh guest house
3) FIR is written to help Italian cause
Church involvement was along expected lines, astute observers were only conjecturing when, not why of the involvement of Vatican lobby (via appointed bishops) to try influence issue. I also think that, SM Krishna's guarded words "amicable solution" points to the arm twisting in the background (amicable to whom - when Indian citizens were killed in cold blood). Now the sad reality about Kerala dawns, with all literacy and high political thinking, people are being led to vote mainly along religious lines in a clever subversion of secularism, in the guise of inclusive politics.
