Thiruvananthapuram tops CBSE Class 12 exam

Registers pass percentage of 95.62

The Thiruvananthapuram region of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has emerged all-India topper in the Senior School Certificate Examination. In the Class XII results which were declared on Sunday, the region registered a pass percentage of 95.62, securing healthy leads over the Chennai and Delhi regions which posted 92.60 and 88.37 respectively.

According to official sources, while 35,034 students had registered for the examinations, only 34,959 appeared. Ajay R. Raj of St. Thomas Central School in Thiruvananthapuram came first across the country in the differently abled category, with his score of 490 out of 500. P.V. Lakshmi of the Palghat Lions School Senior Secondary in Palakkad was second in the category with 486 marks.
