Temple godown catches fire

A godown of the Siva Temple in Ernakulam for stocking Kathinas (firecracker for temple rituals) was destroyed in an explosion on Thursday morning. One person sustained minor injuries in the incident. The building was partly damaged in the explosion.

Fire fighters from the Club Road Fire station doused the fire. Causes of the explosion are being ascertained, authorities said.
