SYS embarks on humanitarian campaign

The Sunni Yuvajana Sangham (SYS), the youth wing of the Sunni faction led by Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliar, completed its Dharma Sancharam campaign in the district on Saturday.

Various humanitarian relief works are being arranged in the district’s 20 zones under the banner of the SYS.

SYS leaders said that they would dig up four public wells and distribute medical cards in Nilambur and Edakkara zones. Certain government hospital wards will be renovated in Areekode and Kondotty zones.

The SYS will set up palliative centres in Manjeri, Kolathur and Tenhipalam zones. Four houses have been constructed under the Darul Khair scheme in Tanur zone. “The keys will be handed over in the coming days,” said SYS district secretary Jamal Karulai. A palliative clinic will be set up at Edappal, he said. Kottakkal and Kuttippuram zones will begin ambulance services.

As many as 22 Darul Khair houses will be constructed in Malappuram, Pulikkal, Ponnani, Tirurangadi, Edavannappara, Perinthalmanna, Vengara, Nilambur, Tanur and Tirur zones.
