A few remaining holes are getting plugged to raise the excitement levels of spectators of the 51st Kerala State School Arts Festival up to a crescendo. Avid followers of the fete will be able to track down the latest developments through the web portal www.schoolkalolsavam.in .

Developed as part of the IT @ School Project, the portal is designed to provide an exhaustive coverage of day-to-day events as they unravel during the entire duration of the event.

The instant updation of results would also involve providing the details of the participants and the winners of the respective events.

According to K. Anvar Sadath, Executive Director, IT @ School Project, the portal, for the first time in the history of the School Festival, would furnish the images of the winners along with their badges. The results would also be categorized according to the districts and schools.

Designed using an open software, the portal also directs the user to the live video streaming of the Festival that is telecasted by the educational channel ViCTERS, another initiative of the IT @ School Project.

The website also doubles as an event management portal for the organizers of the cultural fete. Preparation of certificates for winners and participants of various events can be readily performed at any time using the predefined details that are collected and loaded during registering the contestants. The certificates would also carry the respective images of the participants.

The web portal had received a massive number of hits of over 1,30,000 during the previous edition of the fete that was held in Kozhikode.
