Southern Railway has partially cancelled some trains on Wednesday in view of the gauge conversion work on the Palakkad-Pollachi section.
Train No 56323 Coimbatore-Mangaluru fast passenger leaving Coimbatore Junction at 7.30 a.m. has been partially cancelled between Coimbatore and Kozhikode. It will start from Kozhikode at the scheduled time — 1 p.m.
Train No 56324 Mangaluru-Coimbatore fast passenger leaving Mangaluru Central at 7.40 p.m., will run only up to Kozhikode.
Train No 22609 Mangaluru-Coimbatore Inter-City Express leaving Mangaluru Central at 11.45 a.m. has been partially cancelled between Palakkad Junction and Coimbatore, and the train will run only up to Palakkad Junction.
Train No 22610 Coimbatore-Mangaluru Inter-City Express leaving Coimbatore Junction at 6.30 a.m. will start from Palakkad Junction at the scheduled time — 7.30 a.m.
A release said that work on non-interlocking system will be taken up at Palakkad Junction to connect the newly laid track with the main lines and the yard between May 25 and June 4. Work will be taken up from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
