It is a visual treat for bird-lovers in the city as ‘Chirakoli,’ a photography exhibition on birds, is now on at the Press Club hall here.

This three-day exhibition that began on Friday has the pictures of rare and exotic birds found in and around the State. Rajesh Rajendran, the man behind the lens, is a news photographer who feels that birds are better when they are caught by your camera rather than a cage.

He says that all these pictures were taken over a span of eight years.

The great cormorant, blue-eared kingfisher, white cheeked barbet, purple moorhen, brahminy kite, ruby-throated bulbul, white-breasted kingfisher, and red-vented bulbul are some of the birds on show.
