Terming the death of Satnam Singh Mann at the Thiruvananthapuram Mental Health Centre custodial murder, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case told the Kerala High Court that the unleashing of uncontrolled violence by six persons on Satnam Singh, who was an unarmed, defenceless, and mentally challenged young man, had caused his death.

The prosecution said the evidence pointed to it being a custodial murder. The police said Satnam’s death was caused by injuries to his head and neck. The incident occurred after he was admitted to the mental health centre.
