Steps soon to end violence, says Chief Minister

May 30, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - New Delhi:

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said here on Sunday that his government would take steps to ensure that incidents of violence do not recur in the State.

Addressing reporters, he blamed the RSS for the present situation.

Mr. Vijayan said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had raised the issue when he met him on Saturday. “I told him that you speak to your people to stop violence and then we can discuss the issue,” Mr. Vijayan said.

He said: “The RSS is an organisation that gives training to its cadre to carry out such attacks. If they change, then there will be peace.”
