The managing committee of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church which met here on Tuesday, has made recommendation for appointing Bishop Yuhananon Mar Demetrius as the new head of the Delhi diocese of the church.
Bishop Demetrius, so far functioning as the assistant metropolitan of Delhi is being elevated to the new post following the demise of his predecessor Metropolitan Job Mar Philoxenos on November 20.
