Enthusiastic crowds from all walks of life joined the Run Kerala Run held in Kasaragod and Palakkad (right) on Tuesday to express solidarity with the National Games.

The ‘Run Kerala Run’, organised in various centres in the district on Tuesday to express solidarity with the upcoming National Games, virtually showcased to the enthusiastic participants the cherished ideal of unity in diversity.

The mass run, organised at 223 centres, was attended by around 5 lakh people, ranging from students, government employees, and those from socio, political, cultural fields and people’s representatives. The mega run here was flagged off by N.A. Nellikkunnu, MLA. District panchayat president P.P. Shyamala Devi administered the pledge to the participants at a function held on the Government College premises here.

The ‘Shinkarimelam’ by the Bedakam unit of the Kudumbasree and band melam by the students of Marthoma School for the Deaf at Cherkala added colour to the programmes.
