The National Games Organising Committee in Thrissur is going out all to promote the events through the social media.
Sub-Collector Mir Mohammed Ali said the official Facebook page of the National Games Organising Committee, Thrissur, crossed 1,000 likes in less than a week of its launch.
“Sports lovers may visit facebook.com/ngthrissur15 for updates on all the activities associated with the National Games,” he said.
“Get Set Up”, a mass balloon release, will be held on January 15.
A meeting of teachers and student coordinators for the Get Set Up will be held at the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Hall on Monday at 10.30 a.m. The promotional video for Get Set Up will be released on the occasion. Therambil Ramakrishnan and Thomas Unniyadan, MLAs, are expected to take part.
Mr. Ali said that 25,000 students had agreed to take part in Get Set Up.
