‘Manage waste scientifically’

Lack of awareness of proper kitchen and other waste management has often been found to be a cause for the growing environment pollution in villages, Fr. Christy Thevallil, director of the Mar Baselios Kakkad Development Society (MBKDS), has said. Addressing a seminar on waste management at the society head office at Elanthoor on Sunday, Fr. Thevallil said the MBKDS had launched a programme to educate villagers on different methods of management of waste, especially kitchen waste. — Special Correspondent
