KSEB disconnects power supply to Collectorate

July 19, 2010 08:28 pm | Updated 08:28 pm IST - PALAKKAD:

The electricity supply to the Collectorate here was discontinued by the Kerala State Electricity Board on Monday at 12 Noon due to non-payment of arrears amounting to Rs.3.63 lakh.

The power was restored at 4.30 p.m. after Additional District Magistrate (ADM) P. Surendranath gave an undertaking to the KSEB that the payment would be made within two days.

The KSEB has exempted the office of District Collector K.V. Mohan Kumar from power disconnection.

However, the situation did not affect the functioning of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and the Sub Registrar office as they worked on inverters.
