Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has taken steps to make the 58th State School Arts Festival to be held in Thrissur from March 6 to 10 high tech.

Everything from registration of contestants to publication of results to printing of certificates has been made online.

Grouping of contestants into clusters, making participant card available to them, reports for team managers, various events on stage, time sheet for events on each stage, call sheet, score sheet, and tabulation will be done through the festival portal www.schoolkalolsavam.in .

Results will be available to the public immediately after announcement through the portal.

Programmes at the main 10 venues can also be seen live through the portal www.live.schoolkalolsavam.in .

Mobile app

KITE has prepared a mobile app Poomaram to make information available more easily. Besides results of competitions, events under way at each venue, remaining competitions, and expected starting time will be available on the app. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by keying in ‘KITE poomaram.’

Besides live streaming of the festival, ViCTERS channel can also be seen live through Poomaram.

KITE has also made arrangements for uploading creative contests (prose, poetry, and painting) on schoolwiki (www.schoolwiki.in ) after the declaration of results. Competitions in Malayalam, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Arabic, and Urdu will be made available on schoolwiki. The ‘Hi School Kuttikoottam’ has already geared up for this.

KITE has also made arrangements for multicasting — watching events on various stages at the same time — to be available on ViCTERS. The festival can also be seen live through www.victers.itschool.gov.in.
