Kerala MLA K.K. Ramachandran Nair passes away

Kerala MLA K.K. Ramachandran Nair passed away in Chennai on Sunday. He was 65.

The CPl(M) legislator, who had been representing Chengannur in the Kerala Assembly, died at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai early this morning. He had been undergoing treatment for liver disease.

He had started his political life as an SFI worker and had risen to the position of CPI(M) Chengannur area secretary. In the last Assembly election, he had defeated P.C. Vishnunath of the Congress by 7983 votes.
