Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P., Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala here, was given a ceremonial farewell by Naval officers and cadets on Friday. He has been posted as Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations) in New Delhi.

He had served as the Commandant of the academy for two years and two months. In a pulling out ceremony, the service personnel of the INA bid adieu to him.

Rear Admiral M.D. Suresh, Deputy Commandant, INA, was the conducting officer of the event.

The release said that during his tenure, the INA’s training procedures and standards had been given an impetus. He had also steered the INA to take firm steps in establishing interactions with technical institutes and organisations of national repute.

He would leave for New Delhi on February 6, the release said.
