Cricketer Sreesanth, accompanied by his brother-in-law and playback singer, Madhu Balakrishnan, and friends, on Saturday worshipped Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala. He reached the hill shrine on Friday night, braving downpour.

After darshan of Ayyappa, he performed sayanapradakshinom (rolling around the temple precincts).

He said, “It was my wish to offer prayers at Sabarimala immediately after release from jail, and I'm blessed to be here today when the temple opened for monthly rituals. I might have committed minor mistakes, but not this criminal offence of spot-fixing, and Lord Ayyappa is with me to bring out this truth.’’

Sreesanth said there was no ban on him playing matches. He would soon start practising and emerge as a “totally different personality” with Ayyappa’s blessings.

"After darshan of Ayyappa, he performed sayanapradakshinom"

Really, am I reading this in The Hindu? Why don't you cover it roll by roll? Pathetic journalism.

Why Media is making him a celebrity now ? No one is going to believe him that he is innocent in the whole episode. He might escape from legal tangle due to his advocates caliber. Publishing his day to day activities is uncalled for.
