Herd of gaurs triggers panic at Koplipadam

Three persons sustained injuries in attacks by a herd of gaurs a Koplipadam in Mattathur panchayat on Friday. The injured – Sobhana of Vuruthiparambu House, Vinoj of Mankuttipadam and Chunkal Dileep – sought treatment at different hospitals. Sobhana was attacked by a gaur around 7 a.m. at East Kodali. She sustained injuries in the stomach.

The others sustained minor injuries. Gaurs were seen at different places in Koplipadam, according to the police. They were seen on the premises of houses and plantations. The herd of gaurs destroyed plantations.Forest officials and the police rushed to the spot and helped the injured.
