Heavy and peaceful polling has been reported in elections to local bodies in Velam division of Kozhikode district panchayat on Saturday.
Elections were delayed because of a court order on a complaint about delimitation of wards. Because of the delay, declaration of results in elections to local bodies in Kozhikode district has also been delayed. The results would be known only on Sunday though the results in rest of the State have been declared.
