Govt moves HC against resort owner

The State government on Wednesday filed a petition in the Kerala High Court complaining that V.V. George, the resort owner in Munnar whose petition against the takeover of his land and building was dismissed, was now resisting the action of revenue officials to evict him from the land with the support of some local politicians.

The government in its petition pointed out that as a result of the resistance, the government was unable to implement the High Court directive.
