February 05, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

The auspicious Garudavahanam Ezhunnellathu as part of the 10-day annual festival at the Sree Parthasarathy Temple at Aranmula was held with religious fervour in the wee hours of Thursday.

Hundreds of devotees from different parts of Central Travancore and even from far off places thronged the temple on Wednesday to witness the annual event. Devotees believe that witnessing the auspicious Garudavahanam procession, also known as Anchaampurappadu, will bring them good luck and divine blessings. Utsavabali was performed at the temple after the Utchapooja on Wednesday and Thursday. The Pallivetta procession will be held on February 7 and the 10-day festival will come to a close with the Arattu on February 8.
