Four CITU youths arrested

Police arrested four workers of the Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU), in connection with the alleged attack against K .C. Kunjamu, president, Sulthan Bathery taluk Quarry Owners Association, on Monday. The incident happened on Saturday.

Those arrested were identified as Praveen, 20, of Panakkalparambu; Sivraman,37, of Edakkal colony; Suresh Babu,27, of Pulayankavu and Abbdullatheef ,35,of Kundupalliyalil at Ambalavayal.

Meanwhile, the hartal called by the UDF Ambalavayal committee in Ambalavayal panchayat to protest against the attack passed off peacefully.
