Dr. Sivan takes over as LPSC director

K. Sivan, Distinguished Scientist, ISRO, has assumed office as Director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, Valiamala and Bangalore, on Tuesday.

Dr. Sivan, who joined ISRO in 1982, has contributed to the planning, design, integration and analysis of the PSLV mission. He also played a key role in the success of the GSLV flight with indigenous cryogenic engine.

Dr. Sivan has served as Group Director, MSSG; Project Director, RLV-TD; Deputy Director, Aeronautics Entity; Deputy Director, Structures Entity; Project Director, GSLV; and Chief Controller, VSSC. He is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, Aeronautical Society of India, and the Systems Society of India.
