Civil Services exam fraud: 2 more held

The owner and an employee of a Civil Services coaching institute in the city were arrested by the Chennai police in connection with the alleged examination fraud involving an IPS officer.

Those arrested have been identified as Shamshad of Ernakulam and Mohammed Shaheeb Khan of Thiruvananthapuram. They were arrested by a team of the Chennai police with the assistance of the Museum police.

While Shamshad is the owner of Neo IAS Institute at Charachira Road, Kuravankonam, Mohammed Shaheeb Khan is its manager.

Official sources said the arrested were close friends of IPS officer Safeer Karim, who had been arrested for alleged examination fraud in Chennai.

The police also confiscated hard disks from the institution as part of the probe.
