The police will issue look-out notice against key accused in the murder of a real estate broker at Chalakudy.

Special Investigation team is planning look-out notice as it suspects the key accused in the case, Chakkarakkal Johny, left the country.

Rajeev of Angamaly, a real estate broker, was strangled to death allegedly by a quotation gang at Pariyaram on Friday. His body was found in an uninhabited building near his leased farm land. Rivalry in connection with real estate deal led to the murder, according to the police.

The SIT is investigating alleged involvement of an eminent lawyer in the case. The police have arrested four persons in the case.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has demanded CBI investigation into the case. He sent a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard. Negligence from the part of the police led to the murder of the real estate broker. He and his family had complained to the police about the threat to their lives.

DDC general secretary John Daniel has demanded investigation into the dealings of the lawyer, whose role has been alleged in the case.
