CBI officer: Post-mortem held

The post-mortem of the body of Haridath, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who was found dead inside his ancestral home at Njarakkal in Kochi on Thursday, was held at the Alappuzha General Hospital here on Friday.

Haridath was the police officer who led the investigation in the case related to the alleged custodial death case of Sampath, the main accused in the Puthoor Sheela murder case.

Police surgeon, Sreekumari conducted the postmortem on the body which reached here at around 1 a.m.
