The Deen Dayal Kaushal Kendra established by University Grants Commission at Cochin University of Science and Technology has invited applications for its vocational PG courses - M.Voc (Mobile Phone Application Development) and M.Voc (Technology and Management Consulting). National Standard Examination for selecting the Indian team to participate in the International Science Olympiad will be held at various centres on Sunday.

Those who have selected Ernakulam Maharaja’s College as the examination centre should be present at the Physics seminar hall, with their school identity cards by 9 a.m.

CMS College, Kottayam, emerged the overall champions at Sargapatham, the inter-collegiate literary fest, organised by Sacred Heart College, Thevara. Chris Bastian Tom of CMS college was declared the individual champion. Joel Andrews of Govt. Medical College secured first in extempore and group discussion.

Neethu Thomas of Sacred Heart College won the mock press event. A symposium on ‘Social Media: Perils and Potential’ was also held on the occasion.

Suvarna Nalapat Trust has gifted about 9,00 books to the International School for Sree Sankaracharya Studies at the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit in Kalady near here. The collection of books was handed over to the varsity authorities at a function held on the campus.
