The Cabinet has accorded in-principle administrative sanction for setting up six police stations included in the previous Budget. The stations are Mattannur airport (Kannur), Elavaumthitta (Pathanamthitta), Kannanalloor (Kollam city), Pantheerankavu (Kozhikode city), Udumbanchola (Idukki), and Meparambu (Kasaragod). The posts of 50 police personnel will be created at the Vadakara police control room.
Skill development
As much as 3.24 hectares of land will be given from the 8.84 hectares of land owned by the ITI, Ettumanur, to the Bharat Petroleum Corporation for setting up a skill development institute. The land will be given on a lease for 30 years.
A decision has been made to retain 29 contract workers at Kinfra. Applications will be invited from mountaineering and Kalaripayattu sportpersons for filling the vacancies allocated between 2010 and 2014. Family pension for the successors of those who retired as personal staff of Ministers will be revised as per the Kerala Service Rules.
L. Shibu Kumar, who had been officiating as Kerala Farming Corporation Director, will be appointed managing director of Agro and Fruit Processing Company, Vazhakkulam. U. Jayakumaran will be appointed special officer for coordinating agriculture task force and agro service centres.
Pay revision benefits recommended by the Ninth Pay Commission will be awarded to employees of the Kozhikode Development Authority that was wound up.
