Cabinet appoints new collectors in 11 districts

In a major shuffle of district level bureaucrats, the State Cabinet has appointed new collectors in 11 districts and given fresh postings to the incumbents.

The new district collectors are S. Venkatesapathy (Thiruvananthapuram), T. Mithra (Kollam), R. Girija (Pathanamthitta), Veena N. Madhavan (Alappuzha), C.A. Latha (Kottayam), G.R. Gokul (Idukki), Mohammed Y. Safirulla (Ernakulam), A. Kowsigan (Thrissur), A. Shainamol (Malappuram), B.S. Thirumeni (Wayanad), Mir Mohammad Ali (Kannur) and K. Jeevan Babu (Kasaragod). Ms. Shainamol's is the only transfer. She has been shifted from Kollam to Malappuram.

Thiruvananthapuram district collector Biju Prabhakar has been appointed Director of Agriculture, and Pathanamthitta collector S. Harikishore has been appointed Executive Director, Kudumbashree Mission.

Ernakulam collector M.G. Rajamanickam is the new Managing Director, Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC). He will hold additional charge of Additional Excise Commissioner.

Idukki collector V. Ratheesan has been appointed Director of Panchayats with additional charge of Mission Director, MGNREGS.

Wayanad collector Keshvendra Kumar has been posted as Director, National Health Mission. He will have to additional lookouts, that of Director, Social Justice, and Commisisoner, Food Safety.

Kannur district collector P. Bala Kiran is the new Director, IT Mission. The Cabinet has also decided to appoint E. Devadasan, Director, Survey and Land Records, with additional as Inspector General, Registration.
